What to expect

What to expect on your first visit:

You will be welcomed into the clinic by one of our friendly reception staff.  We require you to fill out some paperwork to gain some personal details and get an idea of your health history.  

To find out what is going on, we will sit down with you and discuss your current health situation.  We then perform an examination, including physical, orthopaedic and neurological testing. We may also refer for further investigations such as X-ray, CT or MRI scans if necessary.  If you are a good candidate for chiropractic care we will commence care on the first visit.  

This visit usually takes 30 minutes. 

What to expect on your second visit:

We will tell you what the results of your initial visit testing mean, what any further scans have shown, what we can do to help and how long it may take.   The goal of this visit is to explain everything clearly to enable you to make an informed decision about your care moving forward.  

This visit usually takes 20-30 minutes.

Regular Visits:

A typical ongoing treatment visit involves discussing your progress, repeating a few important tests so we can continue to monitor your improvement.  

Care will involve spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy and home management advice, as needed.

Spinal adjustments are specific movements to the spine and are performed differently depending on your age and type of spinal problem. At Day Chiropractic Centre our Chiropractors are equipped with a range of techniques to suit your body and personal preference.  

Other techniques may include extremity adjusting and various muscle techniques.

Most follow-up visits take about 15 minutes.
